Design Consultation Work Agreement

I have agreed to employ Jason C. Yeh for design consultation on my residence. The fee agreed for this service is USD $650.00. Jason C. Yeh has agreed to provide a landscape design drawing that is workable by any landscape construction professional. Below are the specifications for this design service.

Landscape project location, description, owner information:

I, ____________________, the property owner of _______________________________ have read the terms and have agreed to employ Jason C. Yeh for design consultation on my residence. The fee agreed for the service is USD $650.00. The landscape project area is within 50’ x 50’. Large property may be charged differently as agreed between the property owner and the designer.

Payment schedules are as follow:

USD$ 250 due as down payment before any design work begins

USD$ 200 due at the first meeting

USD$ 200 due at the completion of entire design

Cancellations:

The homeowner can request cancellation and is not responsible for the sequential design charges. You may cancel after the 1^st meeting if you decide that the designs are not compatible with your landscape concept. You are entitled to keep all the initial drawings and a scaled drawing of the project area (1/4” scale). You may again cancel after the 2^nd meeting if you find that the final design does not fit your taste. Again, you are entitle to keep all the works paid (plus all ideas, advices)

Below are the specifications for the design service:

Initial designs:

The initial designs may consist of pencil, pen, and/or computer drawings drawn to proportion (may not be to exact scale) of the landscape project. The initial designs may consist of more than 2 and up to 4 drawings.

1^st meeting for initial designs (1-2 hrs):

The purpose of this meeting is to review the initial designs. It is not necessary for the homeowner to decide on any one particular design. The homeowner is encouraged to express ideas, suggestions or likes and dislikes of these initial designs.

Final designs:

The final designs will be based on the information collected from the 1^st meeting as well as from the initial designs. The final designs will have at least one drawing drawn to scale.

2^nd meeting for final designs (1-1.5 hrs):

The purpose of this meeting is to review the final designs. Once the homeowner is satisfied with the design, Jason C. Yeh will proceed to subsequent design phases.

Irrigation/electrical conduit (low voltage lighting) layout:

The irrigation and electrical conduit layout designs will be provided complimentarily.

Material specifications:

The material specifications list includes hardscape materials, planting materials, and construction materials and the suggested quantity needed as per the final design.

Construction phase scheduling (tentative):

A tentative scheduling of the entire landscape project will be provided.

Bid estimate (optional)

A bid estimate from the designer, Jason C. Yeh, will be provided upon request.

I have read, understand, and agree with the above terms.
